Northstar, the region’s newest bus operator, has revealed its striking new brand.
The company, set up in 2024 with an ambitious goal to lead the way in providing high-quality transport solutions throughout the North East, has purchased its first double-deck Euro V bus.
Boasting a total of 75 seats with standing room for a further 15 passengers, it is the first vehicle in the company’s fleet to carry its specially designed branding.
Daniel Graham, Managing Director for Northstar, said: “We’ve worked with the industry’s leading design, branding and marketing agency, Best Impressions, to create our new brand.
“With such bold ambitions to lead the way, we need our buses to win the hearts and minds of the local people here in the North East.
“I’m exceptionally proud to have worked with Best Impressions to create a smart, clean and contemporary brand, which helps to communicate Northstar’s visions and values.”
The bus will hit the roads for the first time today, Friday 29 March, on a Tyne & Wear Metro Replacement service in operation between Heworth and South Gosforth, while track junction renewal work takes place in Metro tunnels under Newcastle city centre.
