Route One’s annual livery competition returned for 2024 in July. The prestigious competition is a celebration of identity, heritage, and power of the first impression - with Northstar's livery featured in the 'Best Bus Livery' category.
Over 100 operators took part in this year's competition by Route One, and over 3,000 votes were cast.
This week, it was announced that Northstar has been successful in being named as one of the eight finalists in the competition, in the 'Best Bus Livery' category.
The finalists’ liveries, as voted by the public, will now be presented to an independent judge who will determine the overall winners of each category.
Each category winner, comprising one bus, one coach, and one mini/midi vehicle, will be awarded graphics to promote their winner status and a voucher for a full vehicle respray. This respray will be facilitated by PPG, providing the necessary materials, and conducted by Bus & Coach World Ltd in Blackburn, covering labour costs.
Northstar's brand was crafted by industry-leading design agency Best Impressions, who designed a smart and well-defined identity for the company.
Daniel Graham, Managing Director of Northstar, said: "We're delighted to have been named as a finalist for Route One's annual livery competition.
"We chose to create a bold and smart identity for Northstar from the outset, as we're passionate about quality. It's great that this has been recognised by the public.
"We're competing against big names such as Brighton & Hove and Thames Valley Buses in the 'Best Bus Livery' category, who both have great liveries.
"It would be fantastic for Northstar to take home the gold in its first year of operation, and a huge boost for the company. We wish all finalists the very best of luck."
