As a result of Nexus contract changes, there will be some timetable changes introduced from Monday 21 July.

Service 643

• It is, with regret, that we announce Nexus’ decision to award the contract for service 643 to Go North East, from Monday 21 July.
• We took over the operation of this contract last July and have proven to customers on this route some of the benefits of the Local Authority working with a smaller operator to deliver such contracts. Our small team of dedicated drivers have come to know customers on service 643 by name, and vice versa, and really enjoy getting to see them daily.
• Customers tell us that the sudden improvement in reliability is unparalleled, with minimal “at-fault” instances of journeys not operating due to issues within our control, over the last 11 months.
• We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all customers on service 643 - this contract marked a significant step in our journey as a new company, and we have enjoyed every moment of serving you, and giving you more of a voice with the Local Authority of your requested timetable changes.
• The regular drivers’ jobs have been protected and we will continue to run this service until Saturday 19 July.
• From Monday 21 July, this service will once more be operated by Go North East. A new timetable will be introduced from the same date, including an additional peak-time journey from Metrocentre ASDA to Sunniside, which Nexus is funding to replace the connection lost due to the withdrawal of Go North East’s commercially-operated service 1 from ASDA on the same date.

Service 939

• We have renewed our contract with Nexus to operate the journeys we presently operate on service 939, for a further year:
  • 6:35am journey from Sunderland to Team Valley
  • 4:08pm journey from Team Valley to Concord
  • 5:08pm journey from Team Valley to Sunderland
• In addition, we have been awarded the contract to operate the journeys which are currently ran by Go North East, meaning we will operate all journeys on service 939. These are:
  • 6:55am journey from Sunderland to Team Valley
  • 4:38pm journey from Team Valley to Sunderland
